Nic brings nearly three decades of architecture experience with a special focus on delivering large-scale and complex hospitals, education and community-building projects. At Hames Sharley, his focus is collaborating across studios to win and deliver large-scale projects, with the opportunity for deeper cross-disciplinary support and working with large teams.
As both a former architectural practice owner and a senior portfolio leader in Australia, Southeast Asia, United Kingdom and Dubai, Nic offers a breadth of local and global expertise with a particular interest in elevating the human experience, from managing people to delivering projects. Nic’s passion for healthcare includes delivering a range of complex projects, including vertical hospitals in southeast Asia to working with remote First Nations communities on the New South Wales and Victorian border.
As a deeply empathetic designer, Nic is passionate about giving back, giving everybody a voice and creating equal access to healthcare facilities through his work. He also enjoys empowering and supporting the next generation of architects, generous in sharing his knowledge and expertise from his base in the Melbourne studio.
