Megan Carroll, Victoria Studio Leader, Hames Sharley

Megan Carroll brings more than 25 years’ experience designing and delivering a portfolio of diverse building typologies across Australia and Europe, including Commercial, Residential, Mixed Use and Education.

As a registered architect in the UK, Ireland and Australia, her work shares a common focus on community-building and enriching the public domain for all. She has a deep commitment to design and ensuring that the spaces she crafts inspire creativity, foster collaboration and strengthen connectivity.

In the education sector, Megan is passionate about creating environments that support flexible learning, as demonstrated in her previous role delivering 15 innovative new primary, secondary and special schools through a Victorian Department of Education PPP.

Megan approaches the role of Victorian Studio Leader with a vision to prioritise team health, wellbeing and engagement, and ensures clients feel supported in a collaborative environment. She is passionate about elevating women in design and empowering everyone in the studio to feel involved and heard, regardless of their tenure or expertise.

“Our team is passionate about making a difference through good design. If I can support them each day and on their career journey, I will feel content knowing that I’m making a difference to the practice and to each individual,” Megan says.
