This mixed-use inner-city development comprises a two-level basement, a Woolworths supermarket, speciality retail as well as a medical centre and commercial office space in the heart of Mt Pleasant off Canning Highway. The design responds to a multitude of contextual sensitivities and carefully addresses surrounding aspects as developed and agreed in consultation with the local government design advisory panel.
To reduce the impact of access to the site, the development has a single-point entry/exit off Reynolds Road that facilitates both convenient customer access together with service vehicle access. A large-vehicle turn-table has been incorporated in order to maximise the GLA yield of the ground floor retail space and make service access more efficient. Furthermore, this development will be highly prominent given its location and aspect and therefore required a high-calibre design approach to facades, walkways, street frontage and vertical transport integration.
