Leadership opportunities afforded to a youthful group in architecture and urban development is empowering the younger generation - resulting in inspiration and drive at an increased level says Hames Sharley NSW Studio Leader, Dustin Brade.
Hailing from Sydney, Dustin has nearly 10 years of experience with Hames Sharley and has been responsible for leading a variety of architectural projects, of varying sizes, across the country and in South-East Asia.
Dustin has recently been appointed to the UDIA NSW Young Leaders Committee for 2020 – a group committed to challenging and helping resolve the key economic, social and environmental issues that affect Urban Development in NSW. Applying for the committee was born from a desire to get involved with like-minded individuals while helping the profession grow for our Sydney-based architect.
Dustin is fortunate to work with some inspiring leaders himself and credits these individuals with consistently inspiring and challenging the Hames Sharley team. He believes the environment which Hames Sharley creates is the reason he and many others find themselves in leadership roles at such an early stage of their career. “The reward is there for those with motivation, drive and leadership aspirations, so it’s a great environment to work in.”
