National interdisciplinary design practice Hames Sharley is thrilled to welcome Rehana Ghouze as Principal of Finance.
With over 30 years’ global experience across all facets of finance, Rehana brings her expertise in management, cost and financial accounting, along with skills in handling both front- and back-office finance operations.
She believes that, while finance should be a driver of growth and efficiency, success is not just about the numbers.
“Being a successful finance leader means combining strong technical skills with clear communication and collaboration. It’s about supporting teams, solving challenges and aligning financial goals with the company’s vision – in our case, enabling communities to flourish,” she says.
Having worked across diverse industries and managed teams across continents - including Australia, the United Kingdom, United States, India and Sri Lanka - Rehana brings accomplished leadership experience with a global perspective. She is a Fellow of CIMA (UK), an Associate Member of CPA Australia, and holds a Master of Business Administration.
“I’m proud of the global perspective I’ve gained from working across industries and continents. Leading diverse teams and implementing strategies that drive real results has been incredibly rewarding. Helping others grow in their roles is another highlight,” she says.
At Hames Sharley, she’s excited about combining her mix of strategic and operational experience to strengthen financial processes, supporting the team’s goals and paying it forward by helping the business grow sustainably.
“I’m also excited to mentor others and contribute to a great workplace culture,” she adds.
Since moving to Adelaide 10 years ago with her two children, now adults, Rehana has embraced her own local community and enjoys reading and watching movies.
“I admire Hames Sharley’s ability to balance creativity with functionality and its commitment to community impact. I’m excited to join a team that values both innovation and collaboration,” she says.
