Hames Sharley was delighted to see its master plans for Connect Joondalup released to the public this week. The Western Australian Government initiative looks to tackle the issue of urban sprawl throughout the state, and several media outlets picked up the story.
As the ABC reports, Joondalup is not the only suburb where density-boosting schemes are planned, with projects in Bentley, Beaconsfield and Cannington set to create a combined 5,000 homes over the next 15 years. Plans in these locations will link with the government’s vision for the Perth Metronet.
The projects aim to create a new benchmark for medium-to-high density urban infill in Western Australia and represent the largest projects of their kind in the state.
