As the state-based chapter, Australian Institute of Architects’ Awards season continues so does the success for Hames Sharley.
Following on from last week’s wins in Queensland and the Northern Territory, Friday night at the Crown Resort in Perth saw the practice receive an Architecture Award for Interior Architecture for the University of Western Australia Guild Student Central Hub.
Hames Sharley’s Associate Dean Symington said: “It is tremendous news to see the UWA Guild Student Hub be honoured with such a prestigious award, especially in light of the considerable competition that the project was up against”.
Senior Interior Designer Brigid Salter added, “We are incredibly proud of this award, as it’s a great reflection of the success that can come from a truly collaborative relationship between a client, a designer and the people that use the space - in this case, the students of UWA”.
