In some exciting news for Hames Sharley architect Elise Miles Simonovski has been recently appointed as our new Studio Leader for Victoria.
Elise brings with her 17 years’ experience within the design and construction industry, fulfilling various roles and client relations spanning Commercial, Education and Defence portfolios.
Originally from Canberra, Elise says being Studio Leader will allow her to use the skills she has developed in project management to oversee the office. “I’m very excited to join Hames Sharley, be a part of the very capable design studio in Melbourne and look forward to future years of servicing our loyal clients and producing beautiful, beneficial and functional projects.”
While holding degrees in Interior Design and a Masters of Architecture, Elise has always been a pragmatic architect, equally invested in the construction process as much as the initial development of projects. She believes the beauty of architecture is experienced through its use, and that affordability, return on investment and functionality are not dirty words, but practical to the solutions that architects have the responsibility to provide.
Inspirational leaders, mentors, generous clients, and talented designers in both Elise’s life and career has led her to be the skilled architect and driven leader she is today. She says with this new role comes a plethora of opportunities.
“I am enthusiastic about giving back to the design industry, its numerous talented people, and the communities they support.”
We are thrilled to have Elise step into this new role and showcase her leadership, diligence and commitment to her team and clients.
